Team DRB: Clean Beach Week
July 1-7 is Clean Beaches Week, an entire week dedicated to celebrating our beautiful beaches and ensuring they remain safe and clean for generations to come.
Founded in 2003, this special week has, today, drawn major public support: over 150 coastal governors, mayors and county commissions have now issued proclamations in support of the week.
We at DRB Capital recognize and embrace the importance of clean beaches. We strongly urge our team and the public to leave no trace of litter and only footprints at our beautiful beaches.

If you are interested in getting involved with helping clean up our local beaches, here are some volunteer links to check out:

Father’s Day is a celebration of fathers, honoring fatherhood, paternal bonds and the role fathers play in society. This celebration was first introduced in 1909 to complement Mother’s Day celebrations. Today, Father’s Day is more than a day for Dads to get presents, it is a day to honor the contribution that father figures make to the lives of their children.
“I will be relaxing at home, my daughter makes me a giant cookie filled with ice cream every single year and we watch our favorite movies on Disney Plus.”

National Pet Month celebrates the benefits that pets bring to people’s lives and vice versa. During the month of May, this celebration aims to promote the benefits of pet ownership, support pet adoption, bring awareness of the benefits of pets for people and people for pets and bring knowledge of the role, value and contribution to society of working companion animals.

Besides year-round, May is the month for raising awareness for those living with mental health issues to help diminish the stigma, help others and learn more. Each year, millions of Americans face the reality of living with a mental illness. Founded in 1949, Mental Health Awareness Month, which takes place from May 1st to May 31st, was created to bring awareness and educate the public about mental illnesses, the realities of living with such conditions, and strategies to cope for attaining wellness.

On April 22 of every year, people worldwide gather to demonstrate support for environmental protection. Whether it’s taking a simple stroll by the beach to enjoy the views our planet has to offer, cleaning up plastics in our neighborhoods, switching our harmful household products for biodegradable ones or planting a tree, there are plenty of ways to show our appreciation for our beautiful Earth.
We are always seeking to learn more on how we and others can make a positive impact on our planet. We were extremely impressed and excited to discover the company, 4Ocean. Founded in our neighboring Boca Raton, 4Ocean sells bracelets and apparel made mostly from recycled materials. This awesome company uses a portion of their profits to remove one pound of trash from ocean and coastlines with each bracelet that is sold.
Women’s History Month is an annual declared month that highlights the accomplishments of women in history and society. It is celebrated during March in the United States, UK and Australia. Although figures such as Harriet Tubman, Amelia Earhart or Margaret Thatcher are often associated with this particular month, there are countless extraordinary women who have earned and continue to earn their place at the table.
We provided the passionate, hardworking and caring midwifes a delicious lunch from their favorite spot, PureGreens. The ladies got to indulge in an assortment of wraps and acai bowls. In exchange, we got the opportunity to learn more about the beautiful process of natural birth, the long and hard dedication of midwives and the extended comprehensive care that goes into this process. We are grateful for the opportunity to expand our knowledge and look forward to giving back to women, not only this month, but for the rest of the year.
