Team DRB: Mental Health Awareness Month
Besides year-round, May is the month for raising awareness for those living with mental health issues to help diminish the stigma, help others and learn more. Each year, millions of Americans face the reality of living with a mental illness. Founded in 1949, Mental Health Awareness Month, which takes place from May 1st to May 31st, was created to bring awareness and educate the public about mental illnesses, the realities of living with such conditions, and strategies to cope for attaining wellness.
The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has had a tremendous impact on the mental health of people of all ages. Today, more than ever before, it is essential to reduce the stigma around mental health struggles. It is crucial to let our communities and close ones know that behavioral health and medical care services are available if needed.
We at DRB Capital understand that mental health issues can impact how one thinks, manages to feel, and works with others. We believe in helping those in need find the resources and ongoing support to attain good mental health and well-being.
